• Low running costs: Installation
It just requires simple wiring up to the power supply and mechanically
connecting to the shelter

Running
- Efficient components
- Intelligent free-cooling
- Microprocessor controls
- Reduced maintenance requirements
- Simple maintenance (without turning the unit off) |
With respect to precision air conditioning
for telephone shelters, the comfort split units involve:
Higher installation costs
- Installation of the cooling circuit on site
- Refrigerant filling on site
- Setting and regulation on site
Higher maintenance costs
- Cannot support continuous round the clock use, every day of the
year
Higher running costs
- Low COP
- Low SHR
- No free-cooling system
More probability of breakdowns
- Designed for limited use over the years
- No LAN link up system for stand-by
- No control system for power failure
Intelligent
free-cooling
IThe microprocessor control continuously
monitors the room temperature and the outside environmental conditions:
if they allow disposing of the thermal load, the Free-cooling is
then activated.
Unlike traditional systems, the free-cooling start-up temperature
varies as the thermal load in the conditioned room varies.
Emergency operation
Telephone shelters are constructed
to guarantee continuous operation even during power failures
The free-cooling damper, microprocessor control and evaporator
fan can also be powered by the ups in the shelter. During power
failures the room is cooled by the outside air through the free-cooling
damper.
Without air conditioning, the temperature in the racks rises
from 45°C to 70°C in less than 15 minutes.
Stand-by control
Up to 10 units can be installed
in each shelter, which are linked to each other through the
local LAN network, offering the following benefits:
•
Equal wear to the units which are rotated on a time basis
•
The stand-by unit turns on if there is an alarm in the working
unit
•
The stand-by unit turns on if there is an exceptional thermal
load
•
Control of the combined operating phases with excellent energy
savings
Connection to supervision systems
All the Uniflair units can
be connected to a RS485 serial line, with the use of an additional
card, to guarantee complete monitoring of the system, which
permits
•
Control through the Uniflair Netvisor supervision system
or
•
Connection to a centralised supervision system
Furthermore, all the units are fitted with digital alarm
outputs (between 3 and 6 depending on the model), which makes
it easier to control the status of the conditioning unit
and the connection to the external control plc
Wall
MountedW
Monoblock units
for external installations
Monoblock conditioning units to be installed on the outside wall
of the air conditioned room.
The built in air condenser means we can supply the unit completely
assembled and filled with refrigerant; all the components are set
in the factory for normal working conditions and the electrical
and cooling functions are all tested. Installation just needs simple
electrical wiring and mechanically fixing to the shelter, and no
particular specialisation is needed.
The direct free-cooling units (WMF) are supplied with a motorised
damper: during free-cooling the excess of air is expelled from
the room through the condenser section without using any extra
over-pressure dampers.
The special layout of the internal parts gives complete access
to all the components so that servicing can be entirely done from
the outside, without having to enter the room which is normally
protected by controlled access.
The external screws are in stainless steel, anti-tamper and can
only be removed
using special tools.
The double external panelling is available in galvanised and painted
sheet or aluminium alloy (peralluman), giving separate access to
the fan compartment and to the compressor/electric board compartment,
allowing servicing and regulation without having to turn the unit
off.
Evaporator DC-fan/s 48VDC (optional)
Wall Mounted units are equipped with
•
Microprocessor control
•
Scroll compressor (rotary for 0121 model) housed in compartment
isolated from the airflow
•
EU4 filter (optional)
•
Modulating condenser fan/s speed control
•
Free-cooling metal pre-filter (WMF)
Power Supply:
•
230V/1/50Hz or 400V/3+N/50Hz (Standard, according to the model)
•
Main power supply + UPS 230V
•
Main power supply + UPS 48VDC (evaporator DC-fan/s)
Monoblock
units for internal installations
Monoblock conditioning units
to be installed inside the air conditioned room.
These units are ideal when the condenser cannot be fitted outside
or where building work can not be carried out.
The centrifugal air condenser is built into the units structure,
and the units are supplied ready for installation, completely assembled
and filled with refrigerant in the factory, where they are completely
calibrated and the electric and cooling systems are tested.
Installation is very simple and connection to the outside can be
done using rigid or flexible pipes which can be fitted to the window.
Versions available:
• xma upflow
• xmf upflow with free-cooling
• xda downflow
• xdf downflow with free-cooling
Evaporator DC-fan/s 48VDC (optional)
Monoblock units are equipped with:
• Microprocessor control
• Scroll compressor with low noise level
• EU4 filter (option)
• Low depth (450mm)
• Modulating condenser fan/s speed control
Power supply:
• 230V/ 1/ 50 Hz or 400V/3+N/50Hz (Standard, according to the model)
• Main power supply + UPS 230V
• Main power supply + UPS 48VDC (evaporator DC-fan/s, available only
for XMF)
Gemini
Monoblock units
for internal installations
Air-cooled direct-expansion units designed for indoor installation
next to the outside wall.
They are perfect for all those installations where external condensers
cannot be fitted or where building work can not be carried out.
They are very compact and ideal for conditioning very small rooms,
especially mini-shelters.
The air condenser is built into the unit structure, and the units
are supplied ready for installation, completely assembled and filled
with refrigerant in the factory, where they are completely calibrated
and the electric and cooling systems are tested.
Installation is very simple and just involves the electric and mechanical
connections (air pipes and condensation outlet). These units have
also been designed to be used in columns, placing a gxmf unit on
top of a gxdf unit, double cooling capacity is obtained
from the same amount of space: 8.0kW/0.2m2 All the Gemini units have
direct free-cooling and dual power supply.
Evaporator DC-fan 48VDC (optional)
Gemini units are equipped with:
•
Microprocessor control
•
High efficiency rotary compressor with low noise level
•
EU4 filter (optional)
•
Modulating condenser fan speed control
•
Footprint: 0,2m2
Power supply:
• 230V/1/50Hz + UPS 230V (Standard)
• 230V/1/50Hz + UPS 48VDC
