Intelligent free-cooling

IThe microprocessor control continuously monitors the room temperature and the outside environmental conditions: if they allow disposing of the thermal load, the Free-cooling is then activated.
Unlike traditional systems, the free-cooling start-up temperature varies as the thermal load in the conditioned room varies.

Emergency operation

Telephone shelters are constructed to guarantee continuous operation even during power failures
The free-cooling damper, microprocessor control and evaporator fan can also be powered by the ups in the shelter. During power failures the room is cooled by the outside air through the free-cooling damper.
Without air conditioning, the temperature in the racks rises from 45°C to 70°C in less than 15 minutes.

Stand-by control

Up to 10 units can be installed in each shelter, which are linked to each other through the local LAN network, offering the following benefits:
• Equal wear to the units which are rotated on a time basis
• The stand-by unit turns on if there is an alarm in the working unit
• The stand-by unit turns on if there is an exceptional thermal load
• Control of the combined operating phases with excellent energy savings

Connection to supervision systems

All the Uniflair units can be connected to a RS485 serial line, with the use of an additional card, to guarantee complete monitoring of the system, which permits
• Control through the Uniflair Netvisor supervision system or
• Connection to a centralised supervision system
Furthermore, all the units are fitted with digital alarm outputs (between 3 and 6 depending on the model), which makes it easier to control the status of the conditioning unit and the connection to the external control plc

Wall MountedW

Monoblock units for external installations
Monoblock conditioning units to be installed on the outside wall of the air conditioned room.
The built in air condenser means we can supply the unit completely assembled and filled with refrigerant; all the components are set in the factory for normal working conditions and the electrical and cooling functions are all tested. Installation just needs simple electrical wiring and mechanically fixing to the shelter, and no particular specialisation is needed.
The direct free-cooling units (WMF) are supplied with a motorised damper: during free-cooling the excess of air is expelled from the room through the condenser section without using any extra over-pressure dampers.
The special layout of the internal parts gives complete access to all the components so that servicing can be entirely done from the outside, without having to enter the room which is normally protected by controlled access.
The external screws are in stainless steel, anti-tamper and can only be removed
using special tools.
The double external panelling is available in galvanised and painted sheet or aluminium alloy (peralluman), giving separate access to the fan compartment and to the compressor/electric board compartment, allowing servicing and regulation without having to turn the unit off.

Monoblock units for internal installations

Monoblock conditioning units to be installed inside the air conditioned room.
These units are ideal when the condenser cannot be fitted outside or where building work can not be carried out.
The centrifugal air condenser is built into the units structure, and the units are supplied ready for installation, completely assembled and filled with refrigerant in the factory, where they are completely calibrated and the electric and cooling systems are tested.
Installation is very simple and connection to the outside can be done using rigid or flexible pipes which can be fitted to the window.

Gemini

Monoblock units for internal installations
Air-cooled direct-expansion units designed for indoor installation next to the outside wall.
They are perfect for all those installations where external condensers cannot be fitted or where building work can not be carried out.
They are very compact and ideal for conditioning very small rooms, especially mini-shelters.
The air condenser is built into the unit structure, and the units are supplied ready for installation, completely assembled and filled with refrigerant in the factory, where they are completely calibrated and the electric and cooling systems are tested.
Installation is very simple and just involves the electric and mechanical connections (air pipes and condensation outlet). These units have also been designed to be used in columns, placing a gxmf unit on top of a gxdf unit, double cooling capacity is obtained from the same amount of space: 8.0kW/0.2m2 All the Gemini units have direct free-cooling and dual power supply.

Split Unit

Unisplit conditioning units are formed of two separate sections: the evaporation section which is installed inside the conditioned room (uca/f) and the condensation section (mra) which is installed on the outside. The evaporator has been designed for fitting to the ceiling or a wall and, with an advanced microprocessor control, it is very precise in maintaining the set parameters inside the conditioned room. Servicing is very simple, as different access is given to the electric board, the technical compartment and the servomotor for the free-cooling damper.
There is a special panel for the fan compartment, which means calibration and servicing are done in total safety without having to turn the unit off. The UCF units have free-cooling which, when activated, intakes air from the back of the unit through a connection that can be made using either rigged ducting or flexible piping.
The user terminal (on request) is fitted to the wall for the ceiling units and on board for the wall fitted units, and gives complete control for the unit for changing or displaying the operating parameters.
The internal and external unit are powered separately.
Evaporator DC-fan/s 48VDC (optional)
Evaporator sections are equipped with:
• Microprocessor control
• EU4 filter (optional)
Condensing units are equipped with:
• Scroll compressor
• Modulating fan/s speed control

Displacement
Internal units

Designed for rooms with high ceilings with specific medium/low heat loads, this type of unit is distinguished by its displacement air distribution.
The air is delivered from the bottom of the unit through front gridded panels, and through shutters on the side panels.
Thanks to the low air outlet speed, between 0.8 and 1.0 m/sec, a low temperature zone is created which evenly spreads throughout the room without the need for piping.
The basic working principle of this unit is to locally heat the cold air that comes into contact with the racks that need to be cooled, the air then rises due to natural convection. This creates air circulation which, varying in density after hitting the heat sources, creates a hot cushion near to the ceiling and is then taken back in from the top of the unit.
These units come in different models, either direct-expansion or chilled water; all units are fitted with the direct free-cooling function.

Available Series:
Direct-expansion monoblock unit
Direct-expansion unit with remote condensation
Chilled water unit

Uniflair is always ready to supply the custom made answer for any installation, modifying or creating units that fully satisfy the customer’s needs.

wmf twin Range: 10,4 - 19,6 kW
Monoblock direct expansion units for external fitting, with direct free cooling and dual power supply.

Ideal for conditioning compact shelters where only very small units can be used, but which give the same cooling and operational performance.
The WMF TWIN units are distinguished by the two completely independent cooling circuits, and are a very valid alternative when two smaller units cannot be used which would offer the same performance. The condensers are built into the unit, which is supplied completely assembled and filled with refrigerant. Designed for clip on installation on the outside of the shelter, they guarantee easy servicing through the front access panel.

Unicell Range: 1,6 - 1,9 kW
Direct expansion monoblock unit for internal mounting on a door, with direct free-cooling.

Ideal for temperature control inside prefabricated buildings and mini-shelters.
The presence of both direct free-cooling and dual power supply means they can still cool the air even when there is a power failure (emergency situations).

Topcooling Modello / Model: 2,25 kW
Direct expansion monoblock unit for internal mounting on the ceiling.

Ideal for conditioning shelters, cabinets and electric boards.
The horizontal layout and ultra-compact design mean they can be installed in very small spaces, like mini-shelters.
Furthermore, as the condenser is built into the structure, the units are supplied filled with refrigerant and ready for installation.
They have been designed for installing on the ceiling inside the cabinet, occupying a minimum of space for easier servicing.
